Sintered Diamond Monitoring
Our instruments are used to measure the residual stress from at-line sintered diamond samples. The diamonds Raman peak frequency shifts higher when under with compressive strain and lower when under tensile strain. The magnitudes of the shifts is used to determine the residual streess of the sample. Our proprietary collection process allows us to measure the Raman peak shift do to 0.004 wavenumbers to accurately determine the stress on the sample. The figure to the right shows a diamond spectrum.
