Communication with the DCS

Process Instruments PROspect Software is capable of standard Modbus TCP/IP communication with the DCS (Distributed Control System) PROspect can also communicate with the options of using RS-485 or 4-20mA.

PROspect Modbus is simple and powerful tool when it comes to customized process control. Modbus outputs contain predicted parameter values with each parameter’s respective M distance. A DCS operator may also use Modbus communication to remotely control different aspects of the analyzer outside the scope of the normal operation.

With 24/7 up-time dependability, it is crucial to know that state of the instrument at all times, and Process Instruments has you covered.  PROspect allows for instrument diagnostics and system health reporting to the DCS around the clock.

Sample On Demand feature

For applications using multiple streams, Sample On Demand directs the multiplexer to collect on the stream where a grab sample is being collected. PROspect can collects spectra on grab sample streams at the time of the sample being taken to ensure minimal time difference between sample collection and its associated Raman spectra. Simple relaying of stream flow warnings to the DCS ensure that a fresh sample is available, with grab-sample time stamping to ensure a match between online analyzer spectra an lab data.
